103 Workplace Inspection Instructional time – 3.5 hours

Target Audience

This course is ideal for supervisors or anyone interested and committed to safety by preventing and reducing workplace injuries and diseases with pro-active inspection.

Learning Objective

The aim of this program is to help participants to:

  • Properly inspect their workplace for undue hazards and possible hazards.
  • Provide for concise and solution-oriented inspection report.
  • Reduce injuries and potential financial liabilities by promoting pro-active workplace safety inspections.

Learning Outcome

  • Enable participants to use the OH&S regulation to find requirements in the WC Act and the OHS regulation.
  • Enable participants to produce reports on findings.
  • Enable participants to outline inspection objectives and produce a site specific inspection matrix & checklist.
  • Enable the participant to know their limitations and responsibilities.

Delivery Method

The workplace inspection class is divided into three parts:

  • Theory
  • Table top exercise &
  • Practical inspection

Participants will participate in inspecting their workplace to demonstrate knowledge and skills.
