Special Events

Promotion companies and venue owners carry a responsibility to their patrons to provide appropriate first aid response to their level of risk. First aid treatments involving the public can include the challenge of an entire spectrum of age groups, pre-existing health conditions, mental states, and expectations of level of care. Further large events require communication systems, coordination with event staff, and a means of crowd control. It is also important to be aware that exposure to liability for the provision of first aid to the public is much higher than to workers. Since 1997 ER Plus Risk Management Group Inc. has been actively involved in hundreds of events that incorporate the general public as well as workers and participants ranging from sports events to concerts, community and corporate fairs to youth camps. All of the ER Plus Risk Management Group Inc. special event attendants possess several years of experience and a minimum of additional training in first aid for infants and children. This enables them to competently treat all the age groups that may be present in a public event and be confident in their treatment. As an event safety partner, ER Plus Risk Mangement Group Inc. is registered with the BC Ministry of Health and carries insurance to address the liability concerns of working with the public.

First Aid Equipment

For a first aid team to work effectively they must have the appropriate tools. However, purchasing required first aid equipment may not be cost effective for every work project. Alternatively, in conjunction with first aid attendants, ER Plus Risk Management Group Inc. carries a large stock of rental first aid equipment. Responding to the first aid needs of each worksite, ER Plus Risk Management Group Inc. will ensure you won’t be caught without the right people and tools to do the job.
