ABOUT US

Established in 1997, ER Plus Risk Management Group Incorporated was founded from the desire to form a company in the business of saving lives.

The Primary founder J.F. Landry had a vision of creating an all-encompassing occupational health and safety service provider to include consulting, training and contract safety personnel services.

To describe our safety philosophy we appropriated the term 'risk management' to emphasize what financial and insurance risk management fundamentally lacks – prevention.

ER Plus Risk Management Group Inc. is focused on establishing the systems, information and skills necessary to prevent and mitigate workplace accidents. Ultimately, by addressing workplace risks instead of just insuring against them, ER Plus saves lives, reduces injuries, protects property and equipment, and saves businesses money.

In other words, we do not provide the workers' insurance policies which take effect after they get injured -- we try and stop it from happening in the first place.

We are located in Richmond, British Columbia. Our team is comprised of over 50 safety professionals from throughout the Lower Mainland and British Columbia, providing us with well over 600 years of combined experience.

Our company and our safety professionals have experience in addressing the unique and diverse hazards of various industry fields such as construction, health care, manufacturing, special events, government agencies and service sectors.

To reflect the challenges of each client’s workplace, our services are customized to reflect their specific needs – we do not simply provide a "one size fits all" solution.

Since 1997, ER Plus Risk Management Group Inc. has worked on projects at YVR, the Vancouver Aquarium, the Skytrain Millenium LineMountain Bus Company, Cirque du Soleil, most of the GVRD municipality and the Greater Vancouver Regional District.

We are a proud supporter of many non-profit organizations throughout the Lower Mainland including the CIBC Run for the Cure, Aids Walk, Skate Canada, the Vancouver Aquarium and Marine Science Centre, and the Emergency Social Services Association.

ER Plus Risk Management Group Inc. is also a member of the Vancouver Regional Construction Association, Business Network International and the Vancouver Partners in Disaster Program.

In 2005, J.F. became the sole owner of ER Plus Risk Management Group Inc. and Scott moved on to a career with the Canadian Customs Agency.

In June 2006, the training division of ER Plus was moved to a new company called the International Safety Institute Ltd. (ISI). At this time, a new and equal partnership was formed between J.F. and Steve Whiteside.

The future of ER Plus Risk Management Group Inc. is glowing, with planned offices opening in Alberta, Ontario and Quebec.
